CINCINNATI—Amidanationwideteachershortageandfederaleducationfundingconcerns,non-profitcharterIDEAPublicSchoolsCincinnatiisactivelysearchingforaround25teacherstoserveinitsclassroomsthiscomingschoolyear.
ThecharterschooloperatorisofferinginterviewsforteachersinKindergartenthrough11thgradeforitsPriceHillandWoodlawnlocations.
“Youwillsee,hearandfeelajoyousenvironmentthatfeelslikefamily,”saidTomLoughead,directoroftalentatIDEAPublicSchoolsCincinnati.
Thecharterschoolisgoingintoit’sfourthyearandLougheadsaidthey’relookingforthebesttoservestudents.
“Knowingthatalotisgoingonandtherearethingsoutsideofourcontrol,whatwerecognizewhatwecandoisfindtheverybestteachers,”Lougheadsaid.“Theverybestfolksinourkitchenandcafeterias,thebestfolksonthefacilityteamwhowanttoshowupanddorightbykids.”
