Vancouver nonprofit makes sure everyone gets a meal, no strings attached

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – From students out for the summer to adults in need- a nonprofit in Vancouver is helping ensure no one goes hungry. As part of our Hunger Free Project, we’re highlighting organizations around our area that make sure kids get healthy meals, and everyone gets the help they need.
Nonprofit SHARE has two main food distribution channels: one is a summer meal program.
“In Clark County alone, there are 20,000 or so children under the age of 18 who live with food insecurity, so they live not knowing where their next meal is going to come from,” said Adam Wright, who is in charge of philanthropy at SHARE and spends his free time volunteering in the kitchen.
Through the Summer Meal Program, SHARE invites anyone under the age of 18 to get a free meal every summer weekday.
