Nonprofit Organization Makes a Difference through a Parenting Support Group

WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) – Help Me Grow Wichita County is making a difference in children’s and parents’ lives through their 12-week group sessions.
The 12-week session was held today, focusing on a curriculum titled “Make Parenting a Pleasure: effective discipline and knowing your child.”
This is a support group where parents can learn and make friends.
A mother attending the class said that through this, she has implemented the teachings and sees improvement in her daughter’s emotional growth.

“Mine is two, and so she’s definitely going through all the emotions, and that has really been a major difference in how I approach her, how she communicates, we’ve just been working together at home, implementing everything we’ve learned here,” the mother said.
The non-profit organization aims to teach parents what is appropriate development, helping them become the best parents they can be.
This is the first time the 12-week session takes place, so if you missed out, don’t worry. there will be more in the fall.
